We are located 120 miles North of Thunder Bay, in Northwestern Ontario, Canada. Wilderness North provides a multitude of outdoor adventure and activity experiences. Originally, and still operating, for over 20 years, as a unique premiere fly-in fishing destination, Wilderness North continues the tradition of affording to afford the very best in quality fly-in fishing, creature comforts and friendly management. The foundation of its accommodations are 15 remote outpost camps located in the boreal forest, beautifully appointed cabins, excellent LUND boats and motors, equipment, professional management, well maintained aircraft and experienced pilots.
All Wilderness North facilities offer fishing at its best. A variety of fishing experiences is available. Anglers may experience the thrill of landing a Northern Pike, Walleye, lake trout, sturgeon, AND the opportunity to catch a fish thought by some to be extinct…the blue walleye.
Many of Wilderness North’s present and long time visitors are active in many other outdoor sports. Based on requests from some of its most loyal customers, of all ages, Wilderness North will be making its quality facilities and services available for adventure travel experiences. Hiking, trail running, canoeing, kayaking, white water rafting, and more are being planned for the near future. Specific areas and lakes will be designated as adventure travel facilities, keeping the integrity of fishing at Wilderness North as it is presently. This will guarantee the same quality and serenity its fishing clients have known, as well as offer families and adventure travel enthusiasts an opportunity to enjoy the outdoor challenges of Northwestern Ontario.
