N'Pursuit fishes the Indiana waters of Lake Michigan in the spring due to the vast concentrations of fish there. Most fishing is done close to shore and in wind sheltered bays making for calm waters, with less travel time and more fishing time. As the waters warm, we follow the fish to the cool deeper waters of Illinois. By pursuing major schools of fish, we keep our lures in the most productive waters possible through out the season, resulting in more limit catches and happier customers.

Here are just a few of the wreck sites we can dive.

1. Material Service Barge: Sank in 1936 with many hands on board. She is over 240' long in 30' of water, 1/2 mile from shore.

2. The David Dows: A large 5 masted schooner, she lies near the Indiana Shoals. Her hull is mostly intact with rudder still attached. She sank in 1889 in 40' of water, 6 miles east of Chicago.

3. The Tacoma: A 73' long wooden steam powered tug. She sank in October 1929 in 32' of water off the 68th St. Crip, Chicago. Mostly intact, but deteriorating. Mildcurrent.

4. The Iowa: A passenger steamer built in 1872, 202' loa, 36' abeam she rests in 35' of water after being crushed by ice on February 5, 1915. Subjected to demolition by the state as a navigation hazard, this is an underwater junkyard spread over several hunderd yards.

5. The George F. Williams: Almost 300' long, she lies in 30' of water 200 yards off shore near Hammond, IN. A good close dive.

6. The J.D. Marshal: She was hauling sand and machinery on June 11, 1911, when she rolled in a storm and sank with 4 of 10 crew on board. She lies in 32' of water about 1 mile off shore from the Indiana Dunes National Lake Shore.

7. The Muskegon: Built in 1872, 211' LOA, she caught fire and was scuttled in 1910. Massive machinery with boilers large enough to swim through and her prop still remain. A very interesting dive.

8. Car Ferry #2: Transported railroad cars across the lake. She was built in 1895 and sank in 40' feet of water in Zone 1.

9. The Louisville: A 140' steamer, she caught fire and sank in about 60' of water on September 29, 1857.
