Brown Bay Camp was started by Ed Lippert Sr. in the early 1940's as an addition to his pulp hauling business. Ed's daughter and son-in-law Freda and Louis Ackerman operated the camp for over 30 years. The camp is now operated by Freda's niece Margaret Lewis along with her husband Bill and children Michael, Matthew and Steven. Our season runs from the 3rd Saturday in May (opening of Walleye season) to the second week in September.

Brown Bay Camp is located on 80 acres, surrounds a well protected natural wild rice bay, facing west into Dinorwic Lake. The camp has three 2 bedroom units & two 3 bedroom units. Each cabin is fully equipped with cooking utensils, dishes, toaster, coffee maker, microwave, electric fridge and stove, showers and electric heat. Bedding and pillows are provided, guests are asked to bring their own bath & kitchen towels and sharp knives.

Dinorwic Lake offers excellent Walleye, Northern Pike and Small mouth Bass fishing as well as Perch, Muskie, Lake Trout and Whitefish catches. Many smaller lakes are easily accessed from Dinorwic Lake for those guests wanting to try smaller lakes.
